5 Ways to Use your Broken Cell Phone as a Survival Tool

Bushcraft Prepping Survivalism Wilderness Survival

With enough smarts, nearly anything you carry can be turned into a survival tool. Of course, this includes your cellphone.

One thing you may want to keep in mind before using your cellphone in a survival situation:

A functioning phone is quite possibly your most important tool. It allows you to call for help. If yours is still functioning and still able to get a signal (or at least with battery power), you probably don't want to break it just to use these hacks. With that in mind, let's take a look at how your phone can help you in a survival situation:

How to Upcycle Your Broken Mobile Phone Parts into Survival Tools

From Visually.

To recap:

You can use your phone 5 different ways in a survival situation...

  1. For fire starting
  2. As a cutting tool
  3. As a signal mirror
  4. As a compass
  5. For catching food

And the useful parts of the phone are...

  • Speaker
  • LCD Screen
  • Metal
  • Wire
  • Circuit Board
  • Battery
